Mobile neurological physiotherapy in Box Hill NSW and the Hills District
Home and community physiotherapy for neurological conditions and complex disability, shaped around the person’s daily routines, equipment and support needs.
Home visits across the Hills
Tandem Physio considers visits in Box Hill NSW, Kellyville, Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Dural and Glenorie, alongside smaller suburbs in the wider service area. Physiotherapy takes place at home, in supported accommodation or in a suitable community setting.
The broader area extends from Glenorie in the north to Liverpool in the south, and from Penrith in the west to Parramatta in the east. Browse the suburb directory for the full list.
A listed suburb does not guarantee availability. Clinical fit, funding, current capacity and travel feasibility are checked before a visit is agreed. For locations near the edge of the area, travel is confirmed for the exact address.
Assessment in the usual environment
Make everyday tasks the starting point
A home visit can look at the route from the bedroom to the bathroom, getting out of a usual chair or moving through the entrance with a mobility aid. These tasks bring together the person’s movement, the available space and the help they usually receive.
Equipment and fatigue can change what is practical during the day. Assessment may consider seating, positioning, walking aids, transfer routines and activity tolerance, with recommendations linked to the person’s goals and clinical needs.
Where appropriate and with consent, family or support workers can join the visit to discuss how recommendations fit existing routines. Read more about mobile physiotherapy and the clinical approach.
Neurological and complex disability support
Referrals may relate to multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease or Parkinsonism, motor neurone disease or other conditions affecting movement and daily function.
The clinical focus page covers the wider service, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, falls risk and complex support needs. The assessment approach is based on need and applies across the service area.
Funding and arranging a visit
Private and self-funded enquiries are welcome. NDIS physiotherapy is available to self-managed and plan-managed participants only; Tandem is not an NDIS-registered provider.
iCare and Lifetime Care referrals are subject to relevant scheme approval where required. See the funding and referral FAQs for other pathways and their conditions. Funding and any required approvals are confirmed before services begin.
