Mobile neurological physiotherapy in Parramatta and nearby suburbs

Rehabilitation and ongoing physiotherapy in the home, connecting the person’s goals with their current abilities, discharge recommendations and everyday environment.

Visits in the Parramatta area

Tandem Physio considers home and community visits in Parramatta, Westmead, Northmead and Winston Hills, alongside other suburbs in the service-area directory.

Parramatta marks the eastern end of the broader service area, which extends towards Penrith in the west, Glenorie in the north and Liverpool in the south. Travel to edge locations is confirmed for the exact address.

A listed suburb does not guarantee availability. Visits depend on clinical suitability, funding, travel feasibility and current capacity.

Continuity of rehabilitation

Connect a rehabilitation plan with life at home

After a hospital or rehabilitation stay, everyday tasks may involve different furniture, distances and assistance from those used during inpatient therapy. Home assessment can consider how the existing recommendations fit those circumstances when community care is appropriate.

Relevant discharge recommendations, precautions, equipment and current assistance needs help inform planning. With consent, communication with the treating team can support continuity rather than asking the person or family to reconstruct the plan alone.

Reviewing function beyond discharge

Ongoing physiotherapy needs may include walking, transfers, mobility aids, fatigue, positioning or changes in the support required at home. The assessment starts with the person’s current priorities and whether the existing approach still fits.

For example, a referral might describe difficulty reaching the bathroom, reduced confidence moving through the home or a family member needing clearer guidance about assistance. These practical details help explain why a review is being requested.
