Mobile neurological physiotherapy in Blacktown and North West Sydney

Physiotherapy at home or in supported accommodation, with attention to mobility, equipment, daily support routines and the people helping carry them out.

Blacktown and neighbouring suburbs

Visits are considered in Blacktown, Seven Hills, Schofields, Tallawong and Marsden Park, as well as smaller suburbs across the wider service area. Check the full suburb directory rather than relying on these examples alone.

The broader area runs between Glenorie, Penrith, Liverpool and Parramatta. A listed suburb does not guarantee availability: clinical fit, funding, capacity and travel feasibility are checked before an appointment is arranged. Exact-address travel confirmation applies at the edges of the area.

Home and supported accommodation visits

Review the routines that need to work between visits

A referral may be prompted by a transfer becoming harder, uncertainty about a mobility aid, changes in sitting or positioning, or a support team needing clearer guidance. Assessment looks at the activity in its usual setting and considers the equipment, space and assistance available.

Where clinically appropriate, physiotherapy can include support-worker or carer education, practical recommendations and documentation linked to function and risk. Existing routines and recommendations are reviewed before changes are proposed.

These considerations may be relevant for people living with spinal cord injury, acquired or traumatic brain injury, progressive neurological conditions or other complex disability needs. The same approach is available across the wider service area.

Planning a referral with a support team

Describe the task causing difficulty and what has changed, rather than relying on a diagnosis alone. Clarify who the main contact is and whether the person has consented to the referral or another appropriate authority applies.

During referral planning, explain who usually assists with the task and whether it would be helpful for that person to attend. Relevant existing plans or recommendations can be shared through the referral pathway when appropriate.

For the first enquiry, your suburb, a broad reason for referral and the funding pathway are enough to begin checking suitability. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.

Confirm the funding pathway before starting

NDIS referrals are accepted for self-managed and plan-managed participants only. Tandem is not an NDIS-registered provider. A referral does not itself establish funding approval or guarantee an appointment.

Private and self-funded enquiries are welcome. iCare and Lifetime Care services require relevant scheme approval where applicable. The FAQs explain other funding pathways and their conditions.
